A matte hexagonal wall panel in plant-based PLA, printed to order in about 14 hours. It is the lightest and least expensive way into the catalog, and it reads best on a wall that gets light from the side.
Reserving puts this piece on the print bed. We write to you when it leaves.
The Hex Wall Panel is a flat piece that behaves like a three-dimensional one. The face is matte so it never glares, and the edges are printed crisp so the shadow line stays sharp where the panel meets the wall.
It is designed for raking light — light arriving from the side rather than head-on. Under a downlight or beside a window, the relief reads clearly and the panel changes through the day. Under flat, even light it recedes, which is sometimes exactly what a wall needs.
At 14 hours on the bed it is the quickest piece we print, and the easiest to group. Two or three panels in a loose cluster hold a wall better than one panel centred on it.
It is light enough for removable adhesive strips on a clean, painted wall, which is how most people hang it. If you would rather fix it permanently, write to us before your piece goes on the bed and we will talk through the mounting.
Yes, and it is the piece most often ordered in twos or threes. Each panel is printed to order, so a group of three takes roughly 42 hours of print time in total.
