A tall made-to-order vase in plant-based PLA, printed in a single slow curve so the layer lines read as tide marks. Use it with dried stems, or with a glass insert if you want water.
Reserving puts this piece on the print bed. We write to you when it leaves.
The Wave Vase is drawn as one continuous curve and printed as one continuous motion. There is no seam to hide, so the 18 hours it spends on the print bed stay legible in the finished piece: fine horizontal lines that catch raking light and disappear in flat light.
The rim is the only part we touch afterwards. It is sanded by hand until the edge feels held rather than cut, which is the difference between an object you keep on a shelf and one you keep picking up.
Like every vessel we print, it is porous along the layer lines. Dried stems, branches and grasses sit in it directly. For cut flowers, drop a glass tube or jar inside — the vase becomes the sleeve and the water never touches the print.
Not directly. PLA prints are porous along the layer lines, so standing water can seep over time. Use a glass tube or small jar inside the vase as a liner, or keep it to dried stems.
About 18 hours on the print bed, plus hand-finishing on the rim. It is printed after you order rather than pulled from stock, so we write to you when it leaves the bed.
